Job summary

Signode Industrial Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production and operations running safely and efficiently at our Monroe, LA facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, with emphasis on electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and welding abilities.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and room for growth. Responsibilities include completing work orders, updating the maintenance tracking system, and ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments related to product quality and equipment repair.
• Good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Knowledge/experience with PLCs and drives preferred.
• Experience welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
• Forklift experience is a plus; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Maintain production machines and facility equipment.
• Inspect equipment during preventative maintenance and report findings to management.
• Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
• Identify and correct electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
• Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and downtime.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Respond quickly to safety concerns and potential hazards.
• Maintain building safety and appearance, including utilities and housekeeping.
• Communicate issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.
