Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform advanced scheduled, unscheduled and emergency tasks on electro-mechanical equipment to minimize downtime. You will troubleshoot electrical machine controls, repair motors, switches, panels, relays, HMIs and more, using schematics, drawings and manuals.

Role requires strong background in motors, drives, PLCs and HMIs, plus TPM/Lean knowledge. OSHA, safety and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certifications are a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in a heavy mechanical / electrical manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong background involving AC/DC motors, pumps, drives, inverters, gearboxes, PLC and HMIs.
• Knowledge of TPM / Lean or other continuous improvement processes.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) trained or willing to become trained.
• Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.
• Proficient reading technical documents, drawings, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in the wood working industry (AC/DC motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs).
• Prevents downtime through observation and collaboration with production staff and maintenance leadership.
• Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggests corrective action; supports project work.
• Documents all work performed in Limble CMMS per guidelines.
• Operates safely and adheres to OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Supports other team members to meet department and site goals.
• Performs general housekeeping and waste removal within the department.
