Job summary

Signode is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation and reliability of our steel mill and processing equipment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance in heavy manufacturing.
• 5 years electrical maintenance experience including wiring automation panels and PLCs.
• Experience maintaining rolling mills, slitters, conveyors, and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain steel mill production equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures and minimize downtime.
• Install, wire, troubleshoot, and maintain automation equipment and PLC-controlled systems.
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Repair bearings, gearboxes, belts, pumps, and other components.
• Welding and fabrication using MIG and Arc welding.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, Hot Work.
• Support startup of new equipment and process improvements.
• Contribute to root cause analyses and continuous improvement.
