Signode is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and service electrical systems and machinery in our Kentucky facility. You will support production and plant equipment while adhering to safety programs and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical theory, control panels, PLCs and electrical codes, with hands-on experience and the ability to plan and coordinate maintenance tasks across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of electrical hands-on experience including wiring automation machine control panels and PLCs
• Adherence to standards per the National Electrical Code and National Electrical Safety Code
• Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read gauges, tools and instruments related to equipment repair
• Scissor lift driving experience is preferred but not required

Responsabilités

• Perform work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical theory, codes and operation of electrical equipment
• Respond quickly to issues that may put employees at risk for injury and rectify dangers
• Plan procedures, determine replacement needs, and upgrade requirements with a logical approach
• Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service and replace devices
• Collaborate with other trades and vendors on maintenance tasks and cross-discipline troubleshooting
• Repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment and motors using appropriate tools
• Troubleshoot and repair electric controls, MCCs and PLCs
• Examine work orders and converse with operators to detect problems
• Operate equipment in accordance with site requirements and OSHA safety rules
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to detect and prevent problems
• Maintain equipment logs of performance issues, repairs and tests
• Calibrate testing instruments to prescribed specifications
• Outline new preventative maintenance tasks recommended by manufacturers and historical data
• All other duties as assigned
