Job summary

Principal Mineral Holdings seeks a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support cell rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and repair of plant equipment. The role emphasizes safe, high-quality workmanship and teamwork in a fast-paced facility.

You will participate in continuous improvement, manage hazardous waste, and ensure regulatory compliance while adapting to changing schedules to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years industrial maintenance experience, or related field.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in piping repair, mechanical drive systems, welding, fabrication, large equipment maintenance, chemical operation maintenance, and machining and precision close tolerance work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and flexibility to handle new situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and support for Maintenance Department goals.

Responsibilities

• Participate on all phases of cell rebuilds/repairs. Work adjusted schedule as necessary to minimize downtime.
• Provide preventive/predictive maintenance support for all plant equipment.
• Replace scrubber filter pads and flexi rings when necessary.
• Respond to emergency work orders to service, troubleshoot and repair all facility equipment.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping.
• Participate in continuous improvement teams and assume responsibilities as needed.
• Use technical judgment to ensure compliance with laws, regulations or standards.
• Clean lead sulfate from cells during rebuilds and manage as hazardous waste.
• Change all filter cartridges and dispose of cartridges properly (hazardous and non-hazardous).
• Store and label universal waste; wash contaminated process equipment.
• Adjust breaks/lunches as needed to complete jobs and return equipment to operating status.
• Follow all proper safety practices & procedures and hazardous waste handling rules.
