Job summary

International Minerals Carlsbad LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to perform maintenance on operating equipment within assigned work areas. The role involves troubleshooting process equipment, conducting preventive and predictive maintenance, and supporting the Maintenance and Reliability program.

Ideal candidates have industrial maintenance experience, work well with minimal supervision, and prioritize safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade school education preferred.
• Three years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Recent potash-industry maintenance experience is highly desirable.
• Current certification or ability to become certified to operate forklifts, cutting equipment, arc welders, and power tools.
• Ability to understand and explain process interactions, equipment capabilities, and operational constraints.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on operating equipment within assigned areas.
• Troubleshoot process equipment and identify issues.
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Support Maintenance and Reliability program to maximize plant efficiency and equipment availability.
• Inspect equipment and take corrective action.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with coworkers, supervisors, Operations, and other departments.
• Follow work instructions, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and established operating practices.
• Monitor equipment performance and report recurring problems or reliability concerns.
• Plan and organize assigned work amid changing maintenance priorities.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
• Support plant safety, environmental compliance, production, product quality, and cost-performance objectives.
• Demonstrate initiative, accountability, leadership, and effective teamwork.
• Perform additional maintenance and operational duties as assigned.
