Job summary
International Minerals Carlsbad LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to perform maintenance on operating equipment in assigned work areas, troubleshoot process equipment, and support the Maintenance and Reliability program.
The ideal candidate has industrial maintenance experience, works effectively with minimal supervision, and demonstrates sound judgment and a strong commitment to teamwork and workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Three years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Recent potash-industry maintenance experience highly desirable.
- Forklift, cutting equipment, arc welders, and power tools certification or ability to obtain.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance services on operating equipment within assigned work areas.
- Troubleshoot process equipment and identify mechanical or operational issues.
- Complete preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Participate in the Maintenance and Reliability program to maximize plant efficiency and equipment availability.
- Inspect equipment, identify deficiencies, and take corrective action.
- Use forklifts, cutting equipment, arc welders, power tools, and other required tools.
- Communicate maintenance activities with coworkers and departments.
- Follow work instructions, safety requirements, and operating practices.
- Monitor equipment performance and report recurring problems or reliability concerns.
