JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance, part replacements, and equipment improvements both within a team and individually.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and breakdowns.
• Document work orders accurately.
• Coordinate with production and other department teams to resolve problems.

FACILITY OVERVIEW:

Process equipment in this facility includes bucket elevators, screw conveyors, rotary feeders, belt conveyors, particle sizing screeners, crushers, grinding mills, automated bagging and palletizing equipment, product bins, compressed air, and dust collection systems. Processes are controlled by a PLC network with touchscreen interfaces.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Mechanical aptitude: bearings, belt tracking, V-belts, gearboxes, motors, conveyor rollers, shaft and sprocket alignment.
• Experience with bulk material handling equipment.
• Lifting and rigging skills.
• Welding experience.
• Pneumatics knowledge.
• Grease lubrication systems.
• Control systems: Lock Out Tag Out, Safety Interlocks, PLC Control, etc.
• Basic electrical understanding.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Stand, walk, sit, handle, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.

SCHEDULE:

12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off, days.

EXPERIENCE:

Mechanical knowledge: 1-3 years.
