Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech I to join our UniFirst community. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

We offer a standard Monday–Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime and on‑the‑job training. The role requires a high school diploma or GED; a two‑year technical degree is preferred; you must be able to read

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment and systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and manuals for maintenance.
• Record utility readings and take corrective actions as needed.
• Perform safety and routine maintenance checks on boilers and equipment.
