Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech I to join our UniFirst community. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

This role follows a Monday - Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime and includes on-the-job training. The position emphasizes safe operation of machinery, use of blueprints and manuals, and precise maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools and precision measurement devices.
• Ensure safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and manuals for maintenance work.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using testing instruments.
• Record and monitor utility meter readings and adjust as needed.
• Perform daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and perform repairs.
