Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

A Monday–Friday base with periodic night and weekend overtime is provided, plus on-the-job training. You will utilize tools, read blueprints, perform safety checks, and document readings in logbooks or computer systems while adhering to UniFirst standards and safety

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 months repairing industrial equipment in production.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics in English is required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Inspects and maintains boilers and other equipment per procedures.
• Uses tools and testing devices to diagnose equipment issues.
• Record readings and adjust chemical/process parameters as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and perform overtime as required.
