UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment with on-the-job training. This role includes occasional night and weekend overtime in a Monday–Friday framework.

We emphasize safety, quality, and reliability as you work with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Successful candidates bring a basic maintenance background and readiness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Basic computer skills and ability to read manuals.

Responsibilities

Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specs.
Troubleshoot equipment problems using measuring/testing instruments.
Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjustments.
Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and address issues.
Record utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
Inspect and lubricate motors, belts, fluids, and components.
Operate a CMMS system and perform other duties as assigned.
