Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to join our team in New Stanton, PA. You will handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, reading blueprints and using CMMS to record activities. The role requires a high school diploma, 6 months of maintenance experience, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools and measurement devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and equipment.
• Record and analyze meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Perform location/system safety checks and maintenance actions.
• Inspect and lubricate moving parts per procedures.
• Operate a CMMS and perform other duties as assigned.
