Job summary

M&H Valve Company in Alabama is seeking a durable maintenance technician to join our industrial team. You will inspect, repair, or install machinery, follow safety protocols, and operate CMMS to log work orders.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or vocational training in industrial maintenance, basic computer skills, and the ability to read diagrams and manuals. This on-site role offers paid time off, comprehensive benefits, and a steady schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational certificate in Industrial Maintenance or related program; or completion of apprenticeship; or two years’ experience in industrial maintenance required.
• Passing competency in hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and piping, lubrication, and rigging for mechanical/M&E systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of your team members.
• Assists supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Wears PPE including fall, respiratory, hearing, foot, hand, head and eye protection.
• Uses proper lifting and ergonomic techniques.
• Promotes The McWane Way Principles.
• Inspects, operates, or tests machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Plans repair work using diagrams, manuals, or schematics.
• Requests equipment and supplies to maintain inventory for installation/repair.
• Transports tools and materials to job sites.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines corrective actions.
• Dismantles machines to access defective parts.
• Installs or repairs machine parts per production specs.
• Cleans or lubricates machinery components.
• Uses basic cutting and welding skills.
• Records production, repair, and maintenance data.
• Completes CMMS work orders and logs labor hours.
• Communicates with supervisor and team to coordinate installations.
• Works with team to reduce bottlenecks and reach goals.
• Participates in continuous improvement projects.
