Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Recycling in South Plainfield, NJ, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery at our OCC recycling facility.

The role requires flexibility to work all shifts, overtime, and holidays. Candidates should have at least four years in mechanical maintenance, experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and welding skills. Safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical maintenance in manufacturing/industrial/military environments
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience using a cutting torch and arc welding
• Troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery
• Install and align new equipment
• Perform periodic maintenance to improve reliability and uptime
• Maintain maintenance logs with labor hours and PM findings
• Work with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
• Help meet production and quality goals while optimizing equipment to reduce waste
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines and wear PPE
