Georgia-Pacific Recycling in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery at our OCC rebaling facility. You will install and align equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and keep detailed maintenance logs to improve reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in mechanical maintenance, experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and performs cutting torch and arc welding.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in mechanical maintenance in manufacturing, industrial, or military setting.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience using cutting torch and arc welding.
• Troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery.
• Install and align new equipment.
• Perform periodic maintenance, lubrication, and reliability tasks.
• Maintain maintenance logs with labor hours and PM findings.
• Collaborate with operations to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Help meet production and quality goals while reducing waste.
