Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for the Wheatfield, IN facility. The role combines mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to keep gypsum-processing equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read schematics, document activities in CMMS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve uptime and reliability on rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial environment
• Experience reading and understanding mechanical or electrical drawings/schematics

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental policies and guidelines; support safety programs
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial equipment
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Perform preventive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Document maintenance activities, including labor hours and findings
• Utilize CMMS to manage maintenance activities
• Diagnose to minimize downtime and improve reliability
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support facility goals
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Continuously learn new technologies and processes
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
• Work in hot, humid, cold, dusty, and noisy environments
