Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Mogadore, OH is hiring Maintenance Technicians to keep our rapid-response manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently. Placement includes Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Craft tracks, with shifts on a rotating 12-hour schedule and an upfront $5,000 sign-on bonus.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and work with conveyors, gear drives, and motors.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and identifying predictive maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Meet production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.
• Install and repair mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
• Perform maintenance checks and preventive maintenance in a safe and timely manner.
• Upload/download and research online the necessary software, maintenance and operation manual for equipment pertaining to the business to aid in performing tasks.
• Lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push and/or pull for up to 12 hours/day in a loud/hot environment.
• Support a safe working environment by wearing PPE and following safety rules.
• Willing to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems and repairing and maintaining all equipment.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshooting and repairing automated systems with remote technical support.
