Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its West Chester, OH facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to improve reliability, with routine preventive maintenance and urgent on-floor response when issues occur.

The successful candidate will have industrial electrical knowledge, experience with motors, hydraulics and pneumatics, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical knowledge with motor installation and frequency drive troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Lenze, Siemens).
• Experience reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Experience with hydraulics, fluids and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Respond to unscheduled floor calls, troubleshoot and repair with urgency.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and leadership.
• Inspect, repair or analyze mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision instruments and testing devices.
• Adhere to plant safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Work any shift, holiday, weekend and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate self-discipline and problem-solving with the team.
