Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Lanham, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain large textile processing equipment and facilities systems. You will handle start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, and welding as part of a team reporting to the Chief Engineer.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong reading of schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years maintenance/engineering experience with focus on machinery, electricity, hydraulics and boiler applications.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and maintains industrial processing equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues and maintains electrical safety standards.
• Responds to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Performs preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Reads blueprints and manufacturer manuals to ensure correct operation of machinery.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and follows safety procedures.
