Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. You will handle start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boilers, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related mechanical tasks.

Qualifications

• Two years maintenance engineering experience with machinery, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics and boiler applications.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proficient with power and hand tools.
• Strong 3-phase 230V electrical troubleshooting.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding and general facility repairs.
• Good verbal and written English communication and basic math.
• Team player with initiative and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain industrial processing equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Respond to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts.
• Improve maintenance processes and practices.
• Work with plant personnel in a cooperative and professional manner.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance records.
• Study blueprints and manuals to determine correct operation.
• Read electrical schematics.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed.
• Comply with federal, state and local laws.
• May support other branches; drive and pick up parts as needed.
