Zekelman Industries is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician in Birmingham, AL to ensure safe repair and rebuild of tube mill production equipment. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues while prioritizing safety and quality.

The role requires strong electrical aptitude, mechanical skills, and the ability to read blueprints, with a focus on uptime, rate, and yield improvements. A safety-conscious mindset and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a heavy manufacturing maintenance role.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and able to read blueprints.
• Able to pass job-related testing, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance following all safety procedures, including LOTO.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and escalate when needed.
• Perform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and changeovers on production equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety regulations.
