Job summary

Zekelman Industries in Blytheville, AR, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and rebuild tube mill production equipment. The role focuses on maximizing uptime, rate and yield, requiring strong electrical aptitude and precise problem solving in a safety‑driven environment.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and perform preventive maintenance and changeovers. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in heavy manufacturing maintenance and PLC experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a heavy manufacturing maintenance role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or journeyman training preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and reading technical drawings.
• Strong electrical knowledge and PLC familiarity; able to interpret schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on equipment following safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Monitor safety guards and ensure equipment is safe before returning to operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and quality issues; escalate as needed.
• Carry out breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance and changeover tasks on production equipment.
• Read blueprints and manuals to diagnose issues and fabricate repair parts as required.
