Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for its Janesville, WI manufacturing facility. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment to limit downtime and maximize productivity while upholding safety and quality standards.

You'll work on shifts including 2nd, 3rd, and a weekend option, with pay starting at $32 to $36 per hour and a $5/hour shift differential. Training and growth opportunities are available within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and electrical repair.
Experience reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematic diagrams.
Experience using math in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Achieve required lift certifications and operate scissor lifts and forklifts.
Achieve lockout/tagout certification.
Setup and operate equipment and tools for preventive maintenance and repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance and document activities on equipment and facilities.
Assist in troubleshooting issues and repairs on equipment and facilities.
Record corrective repairs on equipment and facilities.
Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
