Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Janesville, WI to support the Maintenance Manager and lead a three-shift maintenance team. The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency while ensuring all equipment and facilities meet regulatory requirements and internal standards.

The position requires training staff, coordinating with vendors and OEMs, and driving continuous improvement in reliability and uptime across the site. Strong leadership and CMMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics concepts.
• Leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all Maintenance Technicians are adequately trained, scheduled, and equipped so the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
• Be proactive in ensuring that buildings, machines, and support equipment are utilized in a safe and efficient manner, conduct training as required.
• Repair, service, and perform skilled maintenance on manufacturing, production support equipment, vehicles, building, and grounds.
• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Procure and ensure inventory of repair and spare parts are available, assist in maintaining an adequate stock and inventory.
• Work with outside contractors, vendors, and OEMs to ensure safe operation, installation, and repair of all equipment, building, and grounds repairs, while ensuring all are to code, acting as project manager on assigned tasks.
