Job summary

Cenveo, a leading North American envelope manufacturer, is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the Chicago, IL location on 1st shift (6am–2pm). Under minimal supervision, you will maintain high‑speed production equipment and perform preventive maintenance to keep operations reliable and safe.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, repairing equipment, and scheduling preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of hands on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (printing, envelope, or paper converting preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to install, maintain, and repair plant equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist production personnel with diagnostics and repairs
• Operate machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, welding, and cutting tools
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues and perform necessary repairs or installations
• Monitor, schedule, and document preventive maintenance activities to ensure reliable equipment operation
• Research, source, and requisition replacement parts and materials as needed
• Perform required facility and equipment safety inspections/maintenance as required
• Follow safety procedures and complete required documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
