Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines and related equipment in a precision manufacturing setting located in Wisconsin.

Candidates should be capable of diagnosing issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and may be called on to repair CNC machines and robotics, as well as provide training to junior team members.

Qualifications

• Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace parts, reassemble and adjust for efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Repair CNC machines and/or robotics; may fabricate replacement parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform general preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Provide training to less experienced maintenance staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry safety protocols.
• Work in a well-lit machine shop environment and handle standing/sitting/bending/climbing tasks.

Sumitomo is looking for a full time experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Brief Description: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and various other machinery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment
• Repair CNC machines and/or robotics
• May occasionally make replacement parts
• General preventative maintenance of machinery
• May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff

What skills and experience areneeded:

• Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
• Preventive industrial maintenance experience preferred, but not required
• Candidates with previous experience with CNC grinding and/or machining equipment, a plus!
• General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
• Ability to follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standard
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.+

Work Environment: Well-lit temperature-controlled machine shop. Employees will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing. Employees will be occasionally lifting and working inside of machines.
