Plastics manufacturer located in Macedonia, OH looking for a reliable and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. We are looking to quickly interview and hire for this position.

Overview: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment availability by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems, as well as working as part of a team to recommend and carry out solutions that minimize plant downtime. This individual will impact the company by utilizing their extensive electrical and mechanical skills. This individual will contribute to a collaborative safety culture that drives results, and be able to work with all members of the organization.

Responsibilities of an Industrial Maintenance Technician:

• Ensure proper operation of injection molding machinery and secondary processing equipment by completing repairs and preventive maintenance on items such as electrical and hydraulic motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and material handling systems, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Collaborate with production staff and maintenance technicians to troubleshoot issues.
• Understand, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems.
• Work safely and effectively with electrical panels and control systems, including high voltage/low voltage systems.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and problem solve with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
• Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Provide support for both production and facilities equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required by the equipment manufacturer or as established by CPI.
• Follow company safety protocols and observe good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Safety responsibilities include but are not limited to: entering HazRacs, and alerting the Safety Coordinator / Immediate supervisor to any threat to their safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements of an Industrial Maintenance Technician:

• Proof of High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment (10-15 years’ experience preferred).
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience required
• Plastic injection molding experience highly preferred
• Preference given to candidate who have education and strong practical experience in the areas of electrical, mechanical, control systems and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
• Must have demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills – both mechanical and electrical.
• Demonstrated experience with machine repair, experience with CNC machining equipment ideal.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must be motivated to work without constant supervision in a group setting with ability to help peers.
• Must be willing to complete a background check and drug test
• Must be willing to wear the required safety gear (i.e. steel-toed boots/shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses).

Physical Requirements of an Industrial Maintenance Technician:

• Frequently required to lift and or move weights up to 35 lbs.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment on the production floor (PPE).
• Physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.

Pay: $22.00-$32.00/hr (experience-based) + attendance bonus opportunity
