Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment at its Mississippi facilities. The role requires reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The position is full-time and involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs (65 lbs with team effort), and using a variety of tools and machines.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of maintenance/electrician experience, with at least two years in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLCs and ability to read schematics.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent education/experience.
• Working knowledge of basic safety programs, especially lock-out/tag-out, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanics.
• Physical requirements: standing, lifting up to 50lbs (65lbs with team), and full-body activity.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components and special purpose machines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagrams and manuals.
• Use hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Collaborate in a team environment to meet goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
