Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment across a fast-paced facility. The role requires experience with PLCs, reading schematics, and a strong safety mindset.

You will work with a team to maintain drives, motors, belts, and other critical components while adhering to lock-out/tag-out procedures. The position involves lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, with potential lifts up to 65 lbs, and standing for

Qualifications

• Three years of maintenance/electrician experience with at least two years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLCs and ability to read schematics.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Working knowledge of basic safety programs, particularly lock-out/tag-out procedures, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components and special purpose machines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, reading blueprints and manuals as needed.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly.
• Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Think independently while contributing to team goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
