Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment and support facilities. The role requires safe work in a fast-paced plant environment, reading blueprints and schematics, and using hand and power tools.

Requirements include at least 3 years of maintenance/electrician experience in manufacturing, PLC experience, and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance/electrician experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLCs and ability to read schematics.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of basic safety programs, lock-out/tag-out procedures, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanics.
• Ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs; stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components and special purpose machines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters and perform preventive maintenance.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Collaborate effectively in a team to meet goals.
