Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician in Boone, IA to service and repair production and facility equipment. This on-site role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine setup on injection molding equipment and automation systems.

You will read schematics, perform repairs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost equipment reliability while adhering to safety procedures and maintaining proper CMMS records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment or equivalent trade school training.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, instructions, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Experience with industrial equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and machine setup on production and facility equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete emergency repairs to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Install, adjust, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Set up, start up, and maintain injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Support automation systems, robotics, and process equipment.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety requirements.
• Complete maintenance records and work orders using CMMS software.
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
