Job summary

HellermannTyton North America is seeking a Maintenance and Automation Technician I to maintain and troubleshoot injection molding presses, robots, EOATs, automation cells, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, install/uninstall equipment, and support process engineering to sustain quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or associate degree in Automation/Mechatronics/Industrial Maintenance; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 1-3 years in injection molding maintenance and automation troubleshooting or 3-5 years in other industrial maintenance.
• Preferred certifications: Robotics programming, Vision system training, RJG Master Molder.
• Familiarity with CMMSs, PLC interfaces, robotics, HMIs, vision systems, and Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose faults on presses, robots, EOATs, and automation.
• Diagnose robot EOAT alignment, sensor faults, timing and speeds.
• Setup, calibrate, and clean vision systems; reimage cameras and adjust lighting for part confirmation.
• Resolve part detection alarms, miscounts, and runner confirmation errors.
• Troubleshoot and rectify press, robot, and automation issues from job changeovers.
• Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment and systems (material delivery, blenders, dryers, etc).
• Reset drives, replace fuses, troubleshoot alarms, repair wiring; diagnose PLC issues.
• Accurately perform changeovers and set-ups on all machines.
• Log into PLCs to clear faults and update counters/timers.
• Adjust or fabricate parts for existing equipment.
