Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support the electro-mechanical needs of our manufacturing operations in Auburn, WA. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and help implement improvements across the plant.

The role requires a strong grasp of electrical theory, PLCs, and safety practices, with opportunities to train Level I technicians and collaborate with QA to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field is desired.
• Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to quality.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Must be willing to attend training sessions, including out of state locations.
• Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians.
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (e.g., welding, basic machining).
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, and relays
• Diagnose PLC inputs/outputs and repair related issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders and components
• Enter all work completed in the maintenance program
• Monitor spare parts usage and process parts orders
• Adjust equipment based on SPC data in collaboration with QA
• Train new Level I mechanics in complex tasks and skills
