Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Technician IV/Lead on the 3rd shift at our Lithia Springs, GA site. The role supports manufacturing operations, repairs equipment, orders replacement parts, and oversees direct reports.

Strong electro-mechanical expertise and PLC familiarity are essential. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent experience, 7–10 years in manufacturing maintenance, and proficiency with CMMS, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field, or equivalent relative experience.
• 7-10 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and CMMS systems

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
• Train all levels of technicians in more complex tasks and skills
• Responsible for direct reports activities
• Performs other duties as assigned
