Job summary

UniFirst seeks a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components in a Monday-Friday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills is required.
• Lockout / Tagout experience is required
• Ability to work overtime as needed is required.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and precision tools.
• Assist other maintenance personnel with repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Test boiler chemistry and wastewater pre-treatment; adjust chemicals as needed.
• Perform daily/weekly boiler safety checks.
• Inspect belts, shafts, bearings, gears, and lubrication.
• Perform basic welding for repairs.
• Inspect, clean and lubricate moving parts per procedures.
• Utilize a CMMS for maintenance records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
