Job summary

Oatey is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician in Parma, OH to sustain production equipment and drive uptime. You will troubleshoot PLC-based systems, perform preventative maintenance, and install/move equipment as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing plant.

Qualifications include 2+ years in production maintenance, HazMat training, and a solid knowledge of mechanical/electrical/Hydraulic systems. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within a high-performance

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of production maintenance experience.
• HazMat training refresher completed (24 hours) and procedures followed.
• Knowledge of drills, saws, hand tools, electronics, welder torch.
• High attention to detail and initiative in problem solving.
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and safety.
• Familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems; able to read AC/DC circuits.
• Flexible and supportive to changing work demands.
• Strong communication and customer skills to update status of equipment.
• High school diploma required; PLC classes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical PLC systems; complex repairs with minimal supervision.
• Works in a team environment and participates in departmental problem solving.
• Processes Preventative Maintenance requests and completes them timely.
• Installs equipment and components such as motors, pumps, compressors.
• Responds to production support calls; provides maintenance oversight during changeovers and setups.
• Uses hand and power tools and measuring instruments as required.
• Supports Lean Manufacturing goals and 6S practices; communicates with production teams.
• Develops relationships with production teams for maintenance support.
• Follows safety guidelines and is respirator-fit ready.
• Other duties as assigned.
