Job summary

Oatey seeks a Production Maintenance Technician in Omaha, NE to sustain and improve production equipment across lines. You will be accountable for machine downtime, participate in the OEE metric, and support preventive maintenance requests to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on repair skills, ability to read circuits and PLCs, safety training, and a collaborative mindset to work within a team and with maintenance and production staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of production maintenance experience.
• Haz Mat training completed (24-hour refresher).
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• High attention to detail and initiative in problem solving.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with Lock Out Tag Out procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to read electric circuits and PLC-related devices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical PLC systems with minimal supervision.
• Works in a team environment and supports departmental problem-solving.
• Processes and completes Preventative Maintenance requests on time.
• Installs equipment and components (motors, pumps, etc.).
• Provides maintenance support during changeovers and setups.
• Uses various hand and power tools and precision instruments.
• Supports Lean and 6S practices and communicates with teams.
