Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support industrial maintenance for material handling systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance across mechanical power transmission, electrical, PLC/controls, and welding/fabrication.

The role involves troubleshooting components, adhering to safety standards, using EAM software, and working with a team of technicians. A minimum of two years in industrial maintenance/mechatronics and related certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years experience in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics with competency in at least two specialty skills in mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/Controls, with welding/fabrication skills required.
Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area and an associate degree preferred.
Military experience considered.

Responsibilities

Provide preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and failures within the material handling system.
Adhere to safety standards and participate in safety trainings.
Respond to sort calls to diagnose problems and make repairs.
Utilize EAM software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
Diagnose mechanical failures and troubleshoot as needed.
May assist higher level technicians on complex issues.
May participate in smaller scope projects.
