Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support industrial maintenance of material handling systems. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, PLC/controls, and mechanical issues, and assist with small projects at a local level.

The role requires mechanical power transmission knowledge, reading schematics, and a safety-focused mindset. A high school diploma or GED is required, with certificates in industrial maintenance or mechatronics preferred.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in Industrial Maintenance with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical and working knowledge of PLC/Controls and welding/fabrication.
• Ability to interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manuals and specifications to troubleshoot and repair system faults.
• Experience using EAM software to enter and retrieve data.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
• Follow safety standards and participate in safety trainings.
• Read schematics and manuals to diagnose faults and determine escalation when needed.
• Assist higher level technicians and develop scopes of work for small projects.
