Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair machinery, and support production operations. You will follow manuals, diagrams, and engineering specs to keep equipment running efficiently.

The role requires 2–5 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a strong safety mindset. You’ll work with a range of hand and power tools in a dynamic facility environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational certificate preferred.
• 2–5 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to operate multiple tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, and conveyance systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair mechanical/electrical issues.
• Inspect parts with calipers and micrometers; adjust components as needed.
• Maintain and document maintenance records and inventories.
• Ensure a safe, clean work environment and comply with procedures.
