Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance under supervision. You will work with engines, motors, conveyors, and production equipment while following safety procedures and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery with preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors and production machines.
• Locates problems by observing devices and using measuring tools.
• Removes defective parts and repairs using hoists, cranes and hand tools.
• Maintains inventory and prepares maintenance reports.
• Maintains safety and adherence to LOTo policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
