Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to operate with minimal supervision.

You will perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and production equipment under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and Leads. You will locate faults using measuring tools, maintain parts inventories, create maintenance reports, and support safety and reliability across the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 5 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Observe equipment operation and identify problems using measuring instruments.
• Maintain inventories of parts and supplies and place orders as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and report trends to supervision.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment in compliance with regulations.
