Builders FirstSource, Inc. seeks an Maintenance Technician II to perform machine setup, troubleshoot, repair and preventive maintenance on plant equipment under supervision. Must read diagrams and use measuring tools to ensure proper operation and safety.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. This is an on-site role supporting multiple plants with opportunities to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational maintenance certificate preferred.
• 2–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions using diagrams, manuals and specifications.
• Inspect parts with calipers and micrometers; replace defective components.
• Adjust parts and control instruments; maintain inventory; order supplies.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and document maintenance activities.
• Support facility repairs including lighting and plumbing as needed.
• Communicate issues and trends in maintenance reports.
• May drive to other facilities.
