Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America's largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Maintenance Technician III. Under minimal supervision this senior role performs machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance.

Locates sources of problems using diagnostics and manuals, removes defective parts, and ensures safe operation of equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, preparing reports, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Locates sources of problems using diagnostic instruments and observations.
• Removes defective parts and assists in repairs with hoists and tools.
• Inspects dimensional requirements and reads engineering specifications.
• Maintains inventories and prepares maintenance reports.
• Maintains safe working environment and complies with regulations.
