Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC seeks a Maintenance Mechanic & Welder to perform mechanical maintenance and repair for our industrial power plant. You will inspect, repair, and replace pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and conveyors, and perform welding repairs on pressure parts under the R-Stamp.

The role requires blueprints reading, welding SMAW/TIG/MIG on carbon steel and stainless steel, and ability to work in confined spaces, overtime, and rotating on-call shifts. Safety and quality come first.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; formal technical or apprenticeship training preferred.
• Five years or more experience maintaining mechanical equipment.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret technical manuals.
• Must certify under Reworld’s R-Stamp for boiler code repairs; welding repairs on pressure parts.
• Capable of SMAW, TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Excellent manual dexterity and precision in confined spaces.
• Ability to work overtime and participate in rotating on-call schedule; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain rotating machinery and equipment (pumps, fans, motors).
• Repair industrial fans, including coupling, bearing, and motor replacement.
• Maintain belt conveyors, screw conveyors, pumps, boilers, stoker equipment, turbines, gear reducers, and other plant equipment.
• Perform welding repairs on pressure parts under the Reworld R-Stamp; fabricate and weld structures as needed.
• Install and repair industrial piping; support plant improvement projects and modifications.
• Assist during boiler and equipment shutdowns; participate in on-call rotations.
• Read measuring tools, graphs, and blueprints; adhere to all safety procedures.
