Job summary

Reworld is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to perform maintenance and repairs at an industrial power plant. You will service rotating equipment, pumps, fans, and stoker systems, and support piping installs and plant improvement projects.

The role requires welding (SMAW/TIG/MIG), blueprint reading, and the ability to work in confined spaces. A high school diploma or GED with technical training and 5+ years' experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal technical or apprenticeship training is desired.
• Five years or more experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Understanding blueprints.
• Ability to perform SMAW, TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Must certify under Reworld’s R-Stamp for boiler code repairs.
• Excellent manual dexterity for inspecting and maintaining precision equipment.
• Able to perform tasks in confined spaces and challenging environments.
• Solid communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain rotating machinery (pumps, fans, motors).
• Repair industrial fans, bearings, motor components and alignments.
• Maintain conveyors, air compressors, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Weld repairs on pressure parts under R-Stamp; fabricate and weld structures as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and support boiler shutdowns.
• Install/repair piping and assist with plant improvement projects.
• Read measuring tools, graphs, manuals, and blueprints.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work area.
