Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems within our industrial disposal process. You will investigate breakdowns with root-cause analysis, prioritize tasks, and document work orders using our maintenance program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent breakdowns.
• Use root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages with teams.
• Prioritize work to minimize downtime and complete required paperwork in the CMMS.
• Open/close work orders, manage parts, and perform plant documentation tasks.
• Repair and maintain machinery including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as needed.
• Observe machinery to diagnose malfunctions using mechanical devices.
• Review maintenance reports to plan and adjust activities.
• Inspect machines for conformance with safety and operating standards.
