Job summary

Linita Design & Manufacturing in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team. You will lead the preventative maintenance program and perform mechanical, electrical, and assembly tasks on equipment such as water control gates and hydraulic-driven hoists used in major construction projects.

We offer steady overtime, comprehensive benefits, and a small-company environment where every contribution matters. The 1st shift runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial equipment, including hydraulic-driven hoists and water control systems.
• Ability to read schematics and perform electrical wiring.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and precision measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of shop machinery and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Perform assembly and wiring on hydro-mechanical equipment like dam gates and hoists.
• Read blueprints and follow written assembly instructions.
• Inspect and align gears, bearings, shafts, and motors for water control systems.
• Operate overhead and jib cranes safely.
• Install conduits using hand benders and fittings.
• Maintain OSHA and EPA safety standards.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
