Job summary

Shultz Steel LLC seeks a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain critical machinery and production equipment under supervision. You will diagnose issues, disassemble components, and reinstall parts while ensuring safety standards and workflow continuity.

Responsibilities include inspecting hydraulic and other plant systems, performing lubrication, testing equipment performance, and keeping maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Requires AA degree or two-year college/technical school or 2–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with hand tools and measuring devices.
• Knowledge of safety rules and company policies in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Observe operating equipment to locate trouble and determine causes.
• Disassemble devices to access and replace defective parts.
• Inspect parts for wear and dimensional changes.
• Repair/replace hydraulic components, grinding and abrasive equipment as designated.
• Lubricate, adjust, and test devices to verify performance.
• Maintain daily inspection records of plant equipment.
